Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to the International PXEWorkshop 2009 in Bonn. It is encouraging that the pace of research into PXE is accelerating and that both clinicians and basic scientists of the international research community havemade tremendous progress with regard to our understanding of the pathogenesis and the development of new treatment strategies. This uniquemeeting brings together outstanding leaders and innovators as well as young scientists in the field and provides a forum to discuss recent findings and future directions in research and patient management. Patient organisations,which carry themainstake of current research by providing support and the link to patients,will be involved in a separate session.
Themeeting will take place in Bonn, the city of Beethoven, situated at the river Rhine. The venue is the university hospital's architectural highlight, the newly built auditorium.
